2023 Forum on Generative AI and Digital Technology Law

On May 16, 2023, the Department of Financial and Economic Law at Asia University hosted the "Forum on Generative AI and Digital Technology Law." The event brought together experts and scholars to share insights into emerging issues arising from innovative technological applications. From a legal perspective, the forum explored the connections between technological innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while also examining the potential risks and legal challenges associated with the application of new technologies.

Asia University Hosts the 2022 Forum on Emerging Technology Trends and Legal Risks

The Department of Financial and Economic Law at Asia University organized the "2022 Forum on Emerging Technology Trends and Legal Risks." The forum invited distinguished experts and scholars, including Mao-Lin Shih, Honorary Chairperson of the Chinese Association for Legal Risk Management and Chair Professor at Asia University. Discussions focused on three major themes: medical law, intellectual property and taxation, and digital technology. The forum examined emerging issues and legal challenges associated with ongoing technological and social developments in Taiwan.

2022 Legal Education and Awareness Campaign

April 20, 2022 – Seminar on Smart Green Energy Patents and Intangible Asset Valuation

On April 20, 2022, the Department of Financial and Economic Law and the Office of Industry-Academia Collaboration at Asia University jointly organized the "Seminar on Smart Green Energy Patents and Intangible Asset Valuation" at the Harvard Lecture Hall of Asia University. The seminar addressed topics related to sustainability, smart green energy patents, and intangible asset valuation. Experts and scholars were invited to discuss the practical applications of intellectual property rights in these areas.
